BIO
Karen Kviltu Lidal (b. 1979 in Akershus, Norway) lives and works in Fredrikstad and Berlin. She holds a masters degree from Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2008). Solo exhibitions include My Architecture at Kunstnerforbundet in Oslo, Bauen Wohnen Denken at Tegnerforbundet in Oslo and The Body and the Map at Moss Art Association. Group shows include Contextile Biennal, Portugal, The Work That Textile Does, Central Musem of Textiles in Lodz, Poland, Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, and SOFT Gallery in Oslo. Lidal has also taken part in several of The Association for Norwegian Crafts juried and curated exhibitions: in North Norwegian Arts Center in Svolvær, Sørlandets kunstmuseum in Kristiansand, Turbinhallen in Fredrikstad and in the National Museum in Oslo. Her works are included in the collections of the National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Trondheim and KODE Art Museums in Bergen.
