“Building” was built as a 3 x 3 m wooden decking with a fireplace in the centre. It was put togehter outside the gallery before the opening. In the exhibit, the materials where shown as a building-kit, with a video displaying the building of the sculpture. The structure is based on a variety of architechtural forms: from the old nordic log cabin, to Japanese teahouses and modern, functionalist ideas of the 30s and later. The decking is a place for social activity and the fireplace a place to gather around. For conversation, cooking and relaxing.
